The main principle of kitchen ergonomics is the so-called work triangle:
• Refrigerator (food storage),
• Sink (food preparation),
• Stove/Oven (cooking).

If these zones are too far apart, cooking becomes a marathon. If they're too close, it feels cramped. The optimal distance between zones is 1.2 to 2.5 meters.
